Hello, What would your answer be if someone asked you to choose 3 Master's degrees that are, in terms of utility and prominence, similar to the MBA? Thanks for participating, Dennis
It all depends on the utility and prospective employer recognizing the degree as equivalent to MBA and most of them may not be equivalent but similar in terms of course content to a great extent. MS in Management Master of Engineering Management MS in Business Management Master of Management Master of International Business Administration .. the list goes on
In manufacturing and service industries the MSQA is an alternative to an MBA. At my last employer there were several hundreds of people with MBAs but less than a hundred with MSQAs.
One: MS management MA management Two: MS business management MA business management Three: MS organizational management MA organizational management
If one works for a govt agency, a company doing lots of business with a govt agency, or a not-for-profit organization, then an MPA might be a good alternative. The MBA may be the most widely recognized graduate degree after the Ph.D. by the general public.
