I believe I have seen more than one "obligatory I'm done" posts. I have eagerly awaited my turn. It came today when my comprehensive exam results rolled in with a "Passed with Distinction" it had been so long since I had an honor attached to anything I thought it was a typo. Actual graduation date will be 15 May - Master of Arts in History from American Public University. I would recommend them to anyone. I have learned a great deal and enjoyed it as well. The folks on this board have been a great encouragement. Thanks. Yours, Bill Clark PS - If there is anyone who knows of a soul that has done a PhD (I shudder - I can hear my wife loading a pistol) at UNISA or even better Stellenbosch in History or Political Science I would like to talk to them.
Nice work Bill! I think you should take a well-earned rest. And when the weekend is over then I might have a unisa contact for you. Sweet dreams Bill. You deserve them all.
Gongratulations! Take a break and enjoy your family. How was the comprehensive exam? I have my coming up in a few months for my MBA with AMU. Not sure what to expect. Again, nice job. It really is a great school, huh? Cory
For Cory, For the History majors we were enrolled in an 8 week exam course - there were 9 of us - most were American History concentrations, one global, one ancient, and me the European. First week we wrote a set of thesis statements to cover the graduation goals our particular concentration covered, second and third week we were outlining the courses we'd taken, then weeks four through seven were practice questions - most of the time thr professor let us hash thing out and he offered advice and direction but at least one of the four questions we had to submit to him as a practice exam - think no notes and ninety minutes to simulate. You schedule the actual exam the last week of the class. I don't know how much of that overlaps into the MBA side but they have a system that forces you to think over the last two plus years and it really preps you for the day of the test. Best of luck to you when you take yours. And a thanks to all of you who were so very kind in your posts - you are a credit to the online community. Bill Clark
