Question Chancellor University vs Grand Canyon University - Undergraduate in Entrepreneurship

First of all, thank you for all the awesome info on this site. It has been very helpful to read through some of the experiences with different DL universities. However, I am still not sure where to go.

I have about 65 credit units when I was going for a science based major[nursing ]. I have since switched and I am looking to get my BS in a type of Entrepreneurship program, preferably. I have looked around quite a bit and have thus far ended up with Chancellor University in Ohio and Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Chancellor is a lot cheaper [$250 per unit vs. $415 at GCU ] but CU is where GCU was back in 2004 when they were bought and made into a for-profit company. The same company has now bought CU and I am not sure if it would be a mistake to jump into the middle of that to save money. For the record, GCU 's 2009 Entrepreneurial Studies program looks better on paper, but I am not sure if that means anything.

My question is two fold. I am wondering if there are better options out there for a BS in Entrepreneurship /Entrepreneurial Studies type of program. I am looking for the best possible school that I can go to while still being a DL program due to my schedule running/building a business and having a family.

Second, this whole accreditation thing has me confused. GCU is RA as well as ACBSP accredited where as CU is only RA. I just want a good program that I can learn a lot from! Heck, I would love a program that was AACSB accredited , but I cannot find one with a Entrepreneurial Studies program for the life of me.

Any insight is greatly appreciated! I was hoping to start a program soon, and I am getting kind of impatient. :)

    Thanks!
    Scott

Chancellor University is formerly Myers University, which accredite by IACBE. Honestly, it depends where you live. GCU is not that well known school or neither Chancellor except locally. What's about Washington State University's BA in Business Administration with Entrepreneurship major?
    PhD, Old Domino's University '12
    MP, Georgetown University '11
    MS, Southern Methodist University '09
    BS, Troy University '06
    Certificate, Marine Corps Institute '05

Excelsior also offers a 16 unit certificate in entrepreneurship (see page 47 of above catalog). You could include these courses as electives.

    Thank you for the responses.

I did not know about the program at WSU and that seems like a much better option than the other two programs I was considering. I really like that WSU is AACSB accredited , so I just sent in my application.

tekman, I believe you were right on.

Definitely go AACSB if the option is available. Good luck!
Beware of those advocating the easy road - their 'altruistic advice' to you is usually rationalization for their own poor educational decisions.
