    Hello everyone,
Firstly, I would like to say thank you to the people that have been contributing to this forum. Most of the infos here are "very" informative. I;ve been reading this forum for quite sometime now but unfortunately I'm not able to find a case similar to mine.

So here is my situation. I have completed a Traditional 2 years Business Diploma from an accredited Canadian University (Kwantlen Polytechnic University). After that I have been working full-time in the IT industry . Now I want to finish my 3-years degree in some related to Business and IT or E-commerce . I want to do this online with an accredited University, I would also want to make sure I can transfer All or most of the credits I obtained from my 2 years diploma toward this degree, So hopefully I just need one year of courses to finish off my degree. Hopefully this will not cost over 10k.

    thank you in advance everyone!

I assume you are Canadian, and possible you have to pay as International Student rate if you attend US Schools. So, my recommendation for you is Athabasca University's degree in Information System, Marketing, eCommerce and etc.

ya, I did checked them out but unfortunately it is a 4 years degree. I'm trying to look for a 3-years degree.

First, have your diploma from Kwantlen Polytechnic University evaluated by an educational credential service such as the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers if you intend to apply to a foreign post-secondary institution.

Second, decide whether a nationally accredited or regionally accredited degree works best in your particular situation. If you are not aware of the distinction, then search this forum for many postings discussing the issue. For the moment, let us presume a regionally accredited degree is your preference.

Third, there are many universities in Australia offering undergraduate degrees via distance education and most of those degrees are 3-year degrees instead of the traditional 4-year honours degree. If you are okay with a 3-year Bachelor of General Studies (BGS), then Athabasca University is a good option because you can earn all credit hours at any approved school and transfer them (all 90 credit hours) into the BGS or you can take courses from Athabasca University. Athabasca University has articulation agreements with many colleges in Canada. Another route is to earn an Associate-level degree enroute to a Bachelor-level degree.

I just noticed Athabasca University offers two Bachelor of Management (3-year) degrees:
Bachelor of Management (3 years—90 credits)
Bachelor of Management (Post Diploma) (3 years—90 credits)

    eded232,

I believe that Sentinel found the perfect program for you. The AU Bachelor of Management (post diploma) will accept up to 60 credits of block transfer toward the degree. If you're diploma is from an Ontario school, then only 45 credits will transfer over. Either way, it looks like the perfect match for what you're looking for. Take 10 classes and you have your Bachelors!

    Best of Luck!

You may want to look into the BBA at BCIT's School of Business or the one at Royal Roads University. These degrees have in the past allowed 2 year BCIT business diploma graduates to upgrade to the BBA in one intensive year - not sure about diplomas from other institutions. Doesn't Kwantlen have the same thing? Good luck!

this is great! those replies were very useful. I did some looking at their website and I also found their BA Information Systems Concentration is also a 3 years program which I think I will also consider too . Hopefully that BA will take all or most of the credits I earned. I just emailed them and will update all of you once they give me a informative reply.

In the meantime do you guys or ladies have any other suggestions!?

    again, thank you.
