The University of Northern Colorado just announced an online Criminal Justice masters program. This is probably not a good deal for those outside of Colorado, but definitey an option for somebody who qualifies for in state tuition. The state is considering cutting funding to higher ed in the state by 300 million next year to balance the state budget which will cause huge tuition hikes.

No actually it's the Democrats with a Democrat Governor. The problem is between the Tabor Amendment, which controls revenue growth and Amendment 23, which requires mandatory annual increases in spending for secondary education. Add that on top of a 600 million deficit due to lower sales tax revenue due to the economy and the collapse of the oil and gas industry in part because of the Governor's new enironmental regulations it paints a pretty ugly picture.
