Seems like the University of Alaska-Anchorage (UAA) is starting a Doctor in Program Management this Fall. UAA is regionally accredited as well as PMI accredited, and the PM degree program follows the PMI Standards for Program Management. (UAA is AACSB accredited, but the MSPM and DPM are in the Engineering, Science and Project Management department). The website (http://soe.uaa.alaska.edu/espm/) does not actually state this will be a DL program, but the article in the newsletter (see below) leads you in that direction, maybe.

According to the November 2008 newsletter:
    http://soe.uaa.alaska.edu/espm/DPM/index.html

"The program’s founding philosophy is based on the Project Management Institute’s “Standard For Program Management” and is centered on its three themes of benefits management, stakeholder management, and program governance. Classes will be offered in both classroom setting and through tele-video for students located outside Anchorage. This will allow the program to offer a global perspective and a traditional educational environment."

This passage from the DPM Proposal indicates that it will be offered thru DL:
The DPM program can be taken remotely with the use of tele-video and other Internet tools, which have been proven to be capable for this application by their use as part of the MSPM program. These technologies allow students outside the Anchorage area to attend classes and complete the program without requiring that they relocate to Anchorage. During student research, these technologies can be used for regularly scheduled process meetings, while these and other technologies can be used for one-on-one collaboration and discussion of research progress. Further, offering distance education in this manner allows the program to work through Homeland Security issues that block many potential international students from studying in the United States. International students have the option to stay in their home country while studying program management at UAA.

However this program may be expensive - current tuition and fees for the MSPM is $916/credit hour.
