British validation/recognization?

Quick question re British validation ...

So I'm considering attending (via external studies) a small relatively unknown school in the UK which offers degrees validated by a top-10 UK university. Does this mean, on the degree itself, it'll state the top-10 university's name, the smaller school's name, or both? When listing the school on a resume or something, which school's name (or both) would I put?

It may sound petty to ask this but really if I'm paying big $$$ for a degree and the perceived value of this degree depends a lot on the name of the school attached to it, it matters ...

It is really hard to answer this question about what the actually put on the degree itself. I guess the best way to find this out is asking the school you want to enroll with
