A buddy of mine is the CFO for a big well know non-profit. He already has an MBA and is looking to pursue another Masters degree. He does not want a MPA, or a Master of Accounting, he is looking for a Master of Finance. He wants to do it online, and price is a factor.

Any ideas on such a beast?

Master of Finance? Is that meant to the exclusion of an MS in Finance or MBA in Finance? The Master of Finance sounds like a typically British or Australian degree title.

When I talked to him this AM he was actually familiar with the University of London and even UOP. THis isn't at the exclusion of anything, butUniversity of London and even UOP were views as pretty expensive. He already has an MBA from a good school and didn't feel a second MBA with a different concentration would be of any real value.

Indiana U has one through Kelley for about $900 per credit.

I think Webster U has one as well.

Golden Gate has one for around $700 per credit.

Thanks, I think those may present as a little pricey but I will pass along

Heriot-Watt offers a distance MS in Financial Management : http://www.ebsglobal.net/programmes/msc-financial-management

Each course is 800 British pounds or around $1200, and you can pay as you go. You can start a course anytime, and only pay for it when you are ready.

If price is an issue, why not look at utility of a 2nd degree?

Perhaps a CFA, or a US CMA (Imanet.org)
