Hi Hortonka, Geteducate has been a subject/part of discussion here on degreeinfo since a very long time. Their website looked completly different back in the days. GOOD SITE.
It is a good site that provides a lot of valuable information. They also offer quite a few distance learning-related products. Worth a look. Tom Nixon
This isn't exactly news. It's kind of like telling us it's possible to study for a degree online. A quick search through the archives of the board will pull up many, many mentions of GetEducated.com. No worries. I'm just giving you some "friendly heat."
TCord1964, You are correct, after a quick search of the archives; there are several references to GetEducated.com. I didn't do any due diligence prior to my initial tread. I believe everyone whom are members of this board realized that you can receive a quality education via distance learning. My goal was to share information that is distance-education related, with the hope that it may be of some service to others. No worries, the error was mine for not doing my research prior to submitting this trend.
This question came off of that site: Question: I have a friend who claims he earned his college degree online by “testing out" of courses and by putting together a portfolio of all his work and military training over the last two decades. Is it really possible to earn an entire online degree based on career and life experience, or has my friend been scammed big time? —Todd Modesto, California MY ANSWER TO THAT ONE IS HELL YAH YOU SURE CAN, LOL! He changed the requirements at the end though to just career and life experience--but his initial question is 110% doable. Go Army!
