It reads like fiction. Except who would dare create a key character named Dr. McGlory Speckman?

  2. Yes, it is an amazing tale. Incidentally, the "Scorpions" referred to in the article are the Special Branch or Special Investigations unit.

I don't know if we currently have any UNISA students on this forum (active or lurking) but I would be very much interested in hearing how this scandal is effecting the students (especially the DL students). Please chime in if you have any first hand information. Thanks,
    Jack

  4. I don't have first-hand information, but I doubt that there has been any short-term impact on students.

I'm guessing (and hoping) that you're right. My renewed interest is due to the fact that UNISA has risen dramatically on my "Go To" list. I am in contact with IACI (did I get that right?) and am in the process of completing the initial registration form. Thanks for the links,
    Jack

I am a DL at UNISA. I did not even realise the extent of the problems affecting my university. So far this has not affected my studies. Our final exams were written in Oct/Nov, and our new year only starts in late January next year. I have already received all my study guides for the next year, so I have not encountered any problems. Hopefully they will sort things out quickly.
