Hello, TESC sent me an invitation for a free course LIB 495 they may be applied to my content area. They are to use this as a development tool for the future. It looks like I could use some research and other professional dev tools I have to achieve the three credits. I am going to apply. I am unsure if I will be accepted. Hille *****Must currently have 90 credits.
Hmmm. Thanks for the heads up. My wife is slowly working on a BA in liberal studies from TESC. She is not enrolled, but had an eval done previously for $75.00. It is no longer valid, but she is still taking tests, etc. Is there some contact info. you could give me so I could have her contact them? Maybe they will let her take this course. Thanks, Abner
I received the same email yesterday too. I tried to attach the PDF that was attached to the email, but it was too large. Instead here is the contact information that was included with the email and application. Heavin School of Arts & Sciences Thomas Edison State College 101 West State Street Trenton, NJ 08608-1176 Office (609) 984-1130 x3190 Fax (609) 984-0740 Email: [email protected]
Here's the course description: LIB-495 provides engagement in a student-centered, content-related learning experience that serves as a summary and synthesis of courses in a student's undergraduate academic career. Students select an area of interest related to their academic studies and engage in an activity leading to a research project, creative project, or applied project reflective of comprehensive knowledge gained in undergraduate studies and demonstrate their knowledge of the outcomes of the Bachelor of Arts degree. A capstone presentation and paper culminate the course.
Any updated information? Hi, I have not heard if I was accepted as a candidate for the free course. Has anyone else had confirmation? Thanks. Hille
I received an email a couple months ago saying they had already accepted the maximum number of students into LIB495 and I was not being offered a place in the course. Odd, since I responded with 72 hours of receiving the email about the newly announced LIB496 courses. Maybe they only accepted students who had already taken at least one course through Thomas Edison State College.
