Hi there, Texas A&M offers a bunch of professional development certificates. Most of them have to do with horses D), but I like the one in Public Relations Strategies (http://capso.tamu.edu/all-programs/public-relations), which is quite affordable at $595. Rutgers offers a huge variety of professional certificates (http://rcbs.rutgers.edu/online-certificate-programs.html). I would love to do the one in Supervision, but $2,000 for a self-paced (aka do-it-yourself) program seems a little steep. Does anyone have experience with certificates from these schools?
Rutgers has a brand name My sister cried a bit when she could not get into Rutgers (regular class room course) while she got into NJIT. I think $2000 for a Rutgers is as good as affording one for a Ivy League. Just my $0.02.
Hm, I would honestly prefer a less well-known school that is a little cheaper and/or more interactive. Of course it is nice to have Rutgers on the certificate (no idea what exactly they say, though), but the reason I'm looking at this certificate is that I recently got into a supervisor position and would like to solidify what I learn here for future employment.
