I was sitting here at work and a light bulb came on, well I'm not the smartest guy, so it was more like a Christmas tree bulb.

Do any programs exist where students take courses at multiple institutions and the degree is conferred under one of those universities?

I would envsion a philosophy degree that carried studies from say (and these are just for instance):

    Peking University
    University of Wales
    University of Pretoria
    UQ University
    Random US School
    Freie Universität BERLIN
    University of TOKYO
    LUND University
    Cairo University
    University of South Pacific
    MOSCOW STATE University
    TRINITY College Dublin

Imagine how interesting getting an MBA in International Management or maybe an MA in Religioius Studies would be then. The logistics would be a nightmare to start but should straighten out eventually.

Just a thought, maybe it already exists.

This type of study certainly exists at many universities for UG degrees.

I do not recall seeing any study options at the post graduate level although it would be easy to do on your own by earning the number of allowable transfer credits. Although you may need to go through a course evaluation service.

I realize that is possible, but what I mean is actually setting up a website where there is an agreed upon fee from all universities and a "home" university would be chosen. This would allow the user to access one website for all the courses and instructors from each of these schools would teach the course on behalf of their home institution. Consider it a global initiative type program where the articulation is in place and you could cut through the bs of transferring courses.

I'm not really looking for one per se, I was simpling wondering if one existed on a global scale. You do bring up a good program that could serve as an example.

I know someone who earned their BS at UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) and as part of the program did a year at the University of Surrey in the UK. Everything was arranged thru UCSC. I've seen similar programs at several universities including this one at CSUDH http://www.csudh.edu/iec/programs.htm
However I have not come across a DL university in the US offering this option.
