Will the Masters program in Finance offered by the College of Financial Planning be accepted as part of the 150 hours requirement for CPA?

They allow students to take the exams through prometric testing centers. Has anyone here enrolled in the above program? Any feedback on the college, its learning model, testing plan is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Each state has different requirements for what they will accept. Your best bet is to contact your state board of accountancy and ask them.

Since the College of Financial Planning is RA accredited, most likely the answer will be "yes."

This is true to some degree but I'd like to add that most state boards have very specific requirements as in the hours need to be in Intermediate Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and so on and so on.

Yes, many of the financial planning courses deal with accounting information like any good 'Analysis of Financial Statements' course would, but if they're not specifically Intermediate, Auditing, Taxation yadda yadda yadda, they may help with the elective hours but not the core courses needed for a CPA license.

The College of Financial Planning is owned by the Apollo Group (the University of Phoenix guys). Their learning model may be similar to UoP.
