Can anyone tell me if programs exist that award an Ed.S on the way to an Ed.D?

    Thanks!

Liberty University: "Up to half of the hours of coursework for the EdD program can be applied from an accredited EdS program with a conferred degree." Total credit hours for the EdD program is 60 hours. If you do an Ed.S in educational leadership, all of the credits may transfer to the doctoral program in educational leadership. I know that on-campus school psychology programs award an Ed.S degrees en route to the Ed.D.

    Hi:

I'm planning to complete an Ed.S from Northwestern State University (I'm on course #5 now!) in Educational Technology and then, when complete, transfer the credits to Northcentral University where I hope to terminate my studies with an Ed.D in Educational Technology. NCU will accept the full Ed.S degree, in addition to the M.Ed degree, on the way toward the Ed.D.
