I'm also looking at going to Sullivan University to pursue my bachelors degree online in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Everything I've saw has been pretty positive. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I'm in the "just don't know" category. However there is a regular poster on this board who is familiar with this university, and I'm sure he will comment when he sees your post. So keep tuned.
If you mean Tony Piña, he's not only familiar with them, he's a leader in their administration, which by itself is enough for me to view the school very positively. Anyway, hopefull he'll chime in, but in the meantime, the original poster may want to ask more specific questions. -=Steve=-
Alrighty then. Is this place a diploma mill? Will I get a good education? Upon graduation will my bachelors degree have any value? Is the staff qualified to do what they do?
Is this place a diploma mill? No - it is a regionally accredited university. Will I get a good education? Probably as good as any other university - a lot depends on how much effort you put into the learning experience. I recommend that students take a couple of courses then decide if it meets their needs. This is what I have done. Upon graduation will my bachelors degree have any value? Definitely - especially if it matches your career goals. Obviously a degree from an ivy league school or a well known university has more value, but after a few years experience in a career your bachelors degree tends to becomes a "check the box" item on your job application. Your degree also has value in that it lets you earn a second bachelors degree with only 30 units or gain admittance to a post graduate degree. Is the staff qualified to do what they do? Yes - in order to be regionally qualified the staff is vetted thoroughly (as are the programs, library, facilities, and financial stability). I hope this helps.
