    Greetings!

I'm seeking a BA in English with a Writing concentration, or the option for a Writing minor. I'd like it to be fully online (with or without proctored exams), and hopefully affordable, I'd like under $200/credit, but I'm willing to pay more if needed.

Being a public university is also a plus! But I seriously can't seem to find this, at all.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

The University of Maryland University College (www.umuc.edu) has a bachelor's degree in English. Tuition is currently $230 per credit for in-state residents and military members and spouses.

It may not fill your interest in writing.

If you're starting from scratch, and a BA in English from a university in the UK will meet your needs, may I suggest this program offered by the University of London? The total cost of this program (minus books) is £2,710, or about $3900 at today's exchange rate. This particular program is offered by Goldsmiths, part of the University of London, and you can optionally start with a 4-unit "Diploma" on your way to the BA. It's not an online program, more like an independent study program with annual examinations, but several people on this board have completed external degrees through the University of London external program. Best of luck in your search!

Thanks so far! I'll certainly look into both.

I'd also consider a degree in Journalism, or a very in depth Writing/Journalism based certificate. Maybe even a university that just offers a large amount of Writing/Journalism courses?

How about the BA in English from TESC
    http://www.tesc.edu/3583.php
In addition to the required writing courses you could add more as electives (which could be earned from any RA university or college then transferred to TESC).

    interesting school

Does the RA agencies have more status over DETC agencies?
I enjoy writing and forming new different ideas from different stories.
    The program seems very interesting.

    thanks for the info

the school has some interesting programs but if it doesnt have a RA agency backing it up . whats the value ? I dont think there is anything wrong with DETC schools . Perhaps, you take the courses and transfer over them to a RA school .
