Hello everyone! To all those who have had the experience, who would you choose between WES and AACRAO, and why? Also, how long would such an evaluation take at the most?
In my books, I've described the experiment in which a man with a wide array of experiences, from a South American credential to a Canadian chartered accountancy to an on-line MBA was evaluated by a dozen or so NACES-member agencies (he did the work; I paid the bills), and got very different evaluations. This led me to the recommendation that people with anything other than very simple and straightforward CVs might consider getting more than one evaluation, especially if the first does not meet expectations. "Our" dozen generally took 2 or 3 weeks (this was 10 years ago), with a range of 3 days to two months. WES and AACRAO are certainly well-regarded mainstream organizations.

I chose AACRAO when I needed the credit hours earned in Canada to be applied to a degree from a US school. The normal evaluation takes about 2 weeks, but you can pay for expedited service.
thank you. I never knew that such books have been written. I am going to look for "Bears Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning," and if it is helpful I am going to recommend it to friends and classmates.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Did you use AACRAO because it is the evaluator of choice by your school or did you just decide to have it done by AACRAO and it was automatically-accepted by your school? AACRAO is a bit more expensive isn't it?
AACRAO was the preferred evaluator for the school into which I chose to transfer the foreign credit hours. I chose AACRAO, in part, due to its reputation and ready acceptance by most schools both in Canada and the United States of America.
