I am interested to find out what are the quickest Masters / Mba out there.
By That I mean: The least amount of classes required and the shortest amount of time required.
It has to be accredited either RA or DETC.
It'll be nice if we could compile a list.
    Thank you all!!

Perhaps it depends on what kind of course load you can reasonably complete. A lot of schools out there are on a 5 week schedule. If they let you, and you can actually accomplish all the requirements-why not take three courses per term. Generally an MBA is 36 credit hours. 12 classes could be completed in 4 five week terms. Seems pretty easy and quick to me.

I am completing my MBA through AMU, they have 8 week terms. I have been taking one class at a time, while working full-time. I could "do" two classes, but I do not want to kill myself in the process. It will end up taking me over two years to earn the MBA. Can't wait till its done.

Are you looking to "rip off the band-aid" so to speak with this MBA?

    Good luck.

The Edinburgh Business School MBA program is self-paced, so theoretically one could finish that one in as little time as possible, provided they pass the comprehensive exams. Easier said than done, however. EBS exams are notoriously tough.

That very discussion came up in another forum. I cannot for the life of me remember which one I saw it in. I went back and looked. There were 3 or 4 RA schools mentioned, possibly one NA that required 21 or 26 credits? If I find it, I will let you know. I even looked at a couple of the links.

Here are the schools I remember being mentioned. One of them is AIU, which I think is overpriced. Anyway, here some relatively quick MBAs:

The University of Central Oklahoma has a 7 course MBA (Not sure if they have a DL option)

    http://www.busn.uco.edu/mba/

American InterContinental University's MBA is only 8 courses

    http://www.aiuonline.edu/online-masters-degree-organizational-psychology/

    I thought there were more.

Hey, thanks for posting this, Abner. UCO is in my backyard, and I didn't know about this seven-course MBA. At $180 a credit hour for residents, this would work our great for me.

UCO only has DL courses, but no DL programs, BTW.

The University of Central Oklahoma seems pretty good but it looks like they do not offer the MBA online.
I would love to see this list grow..Abner please post the link to the other forum if you find it..
    Are there any other suggestions?

I believe Salem International University is a 12 month program with classes that are 5 weeks long. They also are RA and have a BM campus in WV.

    • This program only takes 12 months
    • No GMAT score required
    • A Bachelor’s in Business is not required
    • No thesis required
    • One class a month

The courses are 4 weeks long not 5 weeks like I had posted.

Just for fun, I went on the Live Chat with that school (without getting into too much information, I worked on the LC program and know some of its software stuff) because I like trying different LC programs out. Yeah... 10 minutes later "Jason" would not give me any tuition information and straight avoided my question even after I asked it 3 times. He just emphasized the no GRE/GMAT. So I wasn't able to get any info on that.

Apparently they use Blackboard and half the website has it listed as SIU and half Salem U.

    History
The school was founded as Salem College by the Seventh Day Baptist Church in 1888. It soon became a non-sectarian nonprofit college. Over the next 100 years, the school continued as a liberal arts, teacher education, and nursing college. In 1989 it formed an alliance with Teikyo University of Tokyo, Japan, which changed the focus of the school to one of education of international students in a unique atmosphere. Salem College was renamed Salem-Teikyo University. The alliance with Teikyo ended in 2000, when the school was purchased by investors from Singapore. At that time, the school changed its name to Salem International University. Salem International University was acquired by Salem Education, LLC in June 2005.[1]

I'd like to have your input

I'm now leaning towards enrolling into the MBA program at Salem International University.
The price tag is one of the factors that is holding me back 20k + with books.
Are they any other schools with similar programs:
Quickest, least amount of calsses ETC..?
My aim is to get the MBA title attached to my name to continue to climb up the ladder.
Any help on this is greatly appreciate..
    Thank you

Quickest might be Columbia Southern University. I needed some PM classes for continuing education requirements and managed to complete the MBA with a PM concentration in 8 months. They are not the best value, either cost or utility, but my entire program at that time cost less than completing three non credit vendor classes. (I always look for college classes for my continuing education requirements) If you can line a proctor up and stay on top of your professors for quick turnarounds you may find the school does not have lmitations on how quick you can complete. I would recommend you call them to verify their current rules in this regard. But also, keep in mind the utility of a DETC degree. I would also caution that when I completed the program a large portion of each class was a research paper assignment and a research class was required that took some time to complete.

    This from the website:

    Self-paced

    "Self Paced Programs
With CSU, you can set your own pace for completing your degree program. Students are allowed 10 weeks to complete each course, but may finish a course in as little as three weeks depending on how quickly you complete the coursework. Following the required Student Orientation course, you are also given the option to complete one course at a time or two courses simultaneously."
