I have no idea, but I do have a quick question: What does a person do with a master's degree in women's studies? Thanks.

You might look at Athabasca University's www.athabascau.ca Master of Arts in Integrated Studies, which offers Women's Studies as one of the possible fields. There was some report that California State University Northridge www.csun.edu was planning to offer an MA in Humanities via distance that included Women's Studies as one possible conncentration. In the UK, the University of Bradford www.brad.ac.uk and London South Bank University www.lbsu.ac.uk offer the master's in women's studies. In Australia, the University of Melbourne www.unimelb.edu.au and the University of New England www.une.edu.au offer the master's in women's studies.

Such a question reminds me of a certain scene in the movie _How High?_

Actually many universities (and community colleges) have coursework in "Women's Studies" (often in English or History Departments). A RA Master's in "Women's Studies" could provide a solid foundation for teaching at a Community College or High School level. Good luck "smalltownpatriot" in finding a program that suits your needs! ;)

Hi stp - If you're willing to go outside the USA I believe that you'll find Masters degree programs in Women's/Gender Studies at both the University of New England and the University of Melborne in Australia. These are not like typical US degrees, they are thesis-only research degrees. Maybe one of these would work for you.

Goddard College www.goddard.edu once had an MA in Feminist Studies, so named; it might still be possible to pursue this option through their MA in Individualized Studies.
