Has anyone heard anything about California State University Bakersfield's online MS in Administration (MSA) degree? The price seems very reasonable. I can't seem to find any feedback from past students or graduates online though. http://www.csub.edu/MSAOnline/
Yes, it seems like a stellar deal financially. Granted an "M.S.A" usually refers to a "M.S. in Accounting" or "Masters in School Administration", so many folks might scoff at CSU Bakersfield's "M.S.A" program. But for a general administrative education (for those not sure if they want an MBA for the private sector or an MPA for the public sector), this might be a good deal. Seriously, though, I can't seem to find ANY feedback from current or former students anywhere. Anyone heard anything about this program?
A guy I used to work with finished this degree program a couple years ago and he had nothing but good things to say about his experiences with the school. He is now working as a GS-14 or GS-15 in the Federal government so the MSA appears to have worked out fine for him. I think this type of degree program is also offered online at Central Michigan University, Missouri State University, and the University of West Florida in case you want to look into other similar degree programs and see which would work best for your situation. abnrgr275
100 per unit. It's still about 22000 dollars. I wouldn't be this would be a "job getter" degree. I'm sure it helps people advance.
The classes are 5 qh @ $800 per. In general there are 9 courses to equal 45 credits. I figure total tuition charge at $7200.
Thanks everyone for the recent posts. Your feedback is much appreciated. Also, special thanks to abnrgr275 for giving reference to an actual student of the CSU Bakersfield MSA program, with some real world citation of what he did with this degree. Anyone else hear anything about this program (intensity of coursework, satisfaction with instructors and curriculum, etc.)? And friartuck, you are correct in your calculation. 45 units X $160/unit = $7,200. Not bad for a "California State University" online Master's degree.
Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone else on the forum has any additional input or opinions on the MSA program? I've continued to search for feedback, but have had little success. I was able to locate a webpage for a graduate of the program, however, where she describes some of the classes she took and provides examples of some of her assignments. Here it is: http://cstinsontri.tripod.com/
Her guestbook has the email addresses of classmates. Maybe email them? Hopefully the emails are still valid 3 years later?
