This question is directed primarily to those who either completed the AAS in Occupational Studies with a Concentration in Emergency Management utilizing the FEMA courses, or the ASPSS/BSHS in Emergency Disaster Services as the area of study. Here it is, which courses were accepted by TESC to meet the requirements for either the Concentration for the AAS, or the Area of Study for the ASPSS, and how were they applied? Example: Overview of Human Services or the Option Basic Philosophy, Theory and Concepts Applied Areas There are so many choices, but why take a course I can't use. Thanks, Rich
Rich, I don't have an answer for you but wanted to provide you with a link to a program for after your AAS: BS in Emergency Management (two different concentrations): Jacksonville State University
I graduated from TESC with the AAS in Occupational Studies/Emergency Management option. TESC accepts 27 hours of FEMA credit toward this degree, the list of which has been posted to the forum many times. The credits are used to satisfy the specialization and free electives. Does this answer your question? Pug
Thanks Pug, I was pretty sure that they were fairly liberal in what they accepted for the AAS in Occupational Studies, but the ASPSS in Emergency Disaster Services requires a more specific credit breakdown. Either one is doable at this time, Im just weighing my options. And Kevin, thanks for the referral I will take a look at the programs. Rich
