I'd like to hear experiences from Keller MBA (or former) students.

Were you satisfied with the experience? Was the quality high or low?

What was the standard classroom format like? And was there quite a bit of group work involved? And what type of group work was it?

I already know that Keller is Devry and it is for profit like U of Phoenix. I am looking for a more in depth description of class experience.

    Thanks in advance-

The program manager I worked for a few years ago earned his MPM at Keller's Long Beach, CA, campus. He said he found the course content very good, and the MPM supplemented his MSEE.

I am starting Keller in 09 for their Masters in Master of Network and Communications Management.

I heard they are a great school, respected in the Chicago Land area.

I used to teach in the Keller MBA and MPM programs in Long Beach. I taught the Project Management (PM586) and Contract Management (PM598) courses. Many of my students worked for the major defense contractors in the Southern California area. These students were bright, disciplined, very experienced, and serious about their studies. We always had great class discussions on defense project management issues---earned value management, defense contracting, and so forth, bringing in their actual work experience into the class discussion. It made for a rewarding teaching experience for me. I believe Keller is well-respected in the industry—especially the defense and aerospace industry. I didn’t have a lot of group work—mostly individual work and use of MS Project.

With Keller having campuses across the country, I imagine that each campus is different and unique, each based on the demographics of the student base and the community.

    Mr. Angry,

I earned my MBA and my Master of Project Management with distinction from Keller in 2007. I cannot say enough good things about this program. I took the majority of my classes at the Houston campus. I did take two online courses (Operations Management and Negotiation Skills). I did find the curriculum challenging and applicable. The course work varies between traditional papers/ exams to group projects. You get out of the program what you put into it.

I now teach project management for DeVry at the Houston campus. My mentor has switched to teaching the graduate courses in project management.
