Hey folks, I have a crazy question. This past weekend at military drill one of my guys asked me about student loan deferment. He's currently pursuing a masters in human relations/business at Amberton. The question posed to me was: can he seek an in-school deferment? I'm not sure, I told him to follow up with sallie mae. Since Amberton does not provide federal aid, not sure how it works. His student loan was from his undergraduate degree. Like I said crazy question.

    Active Duty, yes.
I am not sure for weekend warriors.

Yes. You can get a deferment if you're enrolled at least half-time in a properly accredited school even if the school itself doesn't offer financial aid.

I'm guessing that they're both right.
