Honestly, it's stunning to me. I can "almost" understand how someone without any degree would be tempted to buy their bachelor's degree if desperate (eg in order to keep their existing job) I'm NOT saying that under any circumstances would that be acceptable- I'm just saying I could see where this type of situation could make someone desperate. What I simply can not grasp, is how someone WITH AN EARNED degree would be so stupid as to buy something from a mil...and then try and play dumb!?! How about the "MD" who bought his Phd? I don't believe a single sentence in his sob story- he was naive. <cough cough> yeah right.
Knowing you are being sarcastic I will homour you by saying, "The time you save today will cost you dearly in the future." The sad part of these stories is the employers failed to verify the educational credentials. I only wish all these great legitimate distance education options were available when I graduated from high school. There is no reason to buy a degree that you intend to use for employment or to add to your c.v. with all the legitimate schools offering real degrees for real academic work. It will catch up with you and despite any professional accomplishments the cost is simply not worth the risk.
This guy, I can actually understand. In Canada there are tons of immigrants with foreign degrees from Russia, China, India and Latin america just to mention few. The reality is that these degrees are worth only the paper it was used to print them, the market do not recognize these credentials. HR people are so stupid that would rather hire some one with a degree mill from the US than a legit degree from Russia. The person actually understood very well the Canadian market and knew that he could sell more a degree from St-regis than his legit degree from Russia.
