Good find. The MA in Adult Education looks really good also, and is offered at a fantastic price.

I've been looking at their M.A. in English and I'm about thisclose to applying for their M.A. in Adult Ed. Looks like a good school.

So do the MA in English and then you have this option:

    Texas Tech PhD TC&R

I was planning on doing their M.A. in Adult Ed and taking English classes there, then working on the M.A. in English (probably Comp and Rhetoric concentration). After that, I was thinking either an Ed.D or a PhD in Tech Communication so I’ll definitely keep Texas Tech in mind.

I know nothing about Texas- how far is Lubbock from the DFW area? (Hubby has family there and we’re considering moving there if we could ever sell our freakin’ house)

300-350 miles. But I think the program is a good one and was on my list except for the tuition for out of state.

Belated Congrats! on the BA by the way.

According to yahoo! maps www.maps.yahoo.com , the distance between Dallas, TX and Lubbock, TX is 348.54 miles and that is a 5 hour and 34 minute drive.

Texas Tech - Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric

According to the link at http://www.english.ttu.edu/tcr/, the Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric is available both onsite and online. It looks like a good program.

I'm confused by the Northwester tuition information. If you go to the NW fees page, the following statement appears: INTERNET-ONLY STUDENTS DO NOT PAY ANY OUT-OF-STATE FEES.

Yet in the tuition link you provided above, it appears that Internet-only undergrad students pay out of state fees above 6 credits per semester, while Internet-only graduate students pay out of state fees above 3 credits per semester. So do out of state students pay extra tuition fees or not???

So I took the plunge and applied at NSULA for their M.A. in Adult Ed. I've been toying around with it, but found out a couple days ago that my program I work on is ending 12/31/08, so I may as well get working on my M.A. ASAP :) I'll have some time to kill until I find a new job.

I'm pretty happy about it. Good school, affordable, and fits my needs. I'll let everyone know how I like it!

Online only out-of-state students pay normal tuition plus a $50 class fee for each online class. Classroom out-of-state students pay OOS fees.
