I am the chairman of the Committee on Ministry (COM) in my presbytery and we have 3 people who have stated a desire to enter the ministry. The question: what schools offer a R/A (or foreign equivalent) in theological studies that is totally DL and inexpensive. 2 of the people need Bachelors degrees and one needs a Masters (preferably the MDiv) his undergrad is in history. So, a forum on only ACCREDITED theological degrees that are totally DL and inexpensive. Thanks, I have really enjoyed participating in this forum. Wish I had of known about it 3 years ago, might have changed my direction.

Your most affordable and flexible RA DL M.Div would probably be Liberty University's M.Div. It has some short residencies (one or two weeks) during the summer. The rest is devlivered via VHS. Fairly affordable as well.

Many TRACS M.Div's are 100%DL & affordable if that is acceptable to your organization(TRACS is USDoE & CHEA recognized). A couple of examples are Luther Rice Seminary which is the Alma Mater of Dr. Charles Stanley & Dr. John Ankerberg, and a number of other well know individuals & American Christian College and Seminary.

Check them both out from the TRACS site:

If a Bachelors program for two individuals and you want them in a theological field check out the University of London's Bachelor of Divinity degree. Very affordable, DL, and well respected. It was at one point recommended to me by an Anglican clergyman and graduate of Cambridge (too lazy to look up the spelling sorry).

    Good luck!

I checked out Liberty's site a few days ago. Their tuition is super. I think it is 130 per credit hour for seminary courses (I am not sure if this just applies to veterans or not). IIRC the residency is 15 credit hours (1 week modules).

That would be among my top choice for an M.Div. Affordable, accredited (RA/TRACS/Associate ATS), good reputation.
