Any idea if TESC will accept credits for somewhat overlapping CLEPs and RA courses? For example, will TESC accept ALL of the following credits:

    (6) CLEP, Social Sciences and History
    (3) RA, Psychology
    (3) RA, Sociology
    (3) RA, American History to 1866

    Thank you for your time.

I am not sure if my question is as clear as it could be. I am wondering if TESC will accept all of the listed credits, even though the CLEP exam covers all of the subject areas that I have RA credits in. I am concerned about the overlap.

If I understand your question, you have RA credits and want to know if the SS&H CLEP duplicates the credits of these classes you already have:
    (3) RA, Psychology
    (3) RA, Sociology
    (3) RA, American History to 1866

The answer is no, you can get all 6 credits if you pass.

On the chance that you want to know if you can take CLEPs in these subjects in addition to your classes, you can not do so without duplication.

Thanks. I realized I couldn't take the exact same CLEPs for RA classes that I have already taken, but the general CLEP in Social Sciences and History creates a gray area. I was concerned about the overlap causing a full or partial duplication. Thanks, again. 6 exams and 4 courses to go until I have a B.A. in English!
