    Hi everyone!

While reviewing the HOD program at Fielding Graduate University I came upon their Media Psychology program. My research informed me this was the first program of its kind in the country (started in 2004).

The curriculum appears sound and holds my interest. There have been only a few graduates thus far, so their achievements in academia seem limited. Many of the graduates work in media or corporate settings (advertising agencies, multinational businesses, etc.).

I am curious how this degree would be received by a psychology, criminal justice or communications department. My educational and vocational background is rooted in criminal justice. I see many correlations between my interests and this degree (media influence on crisis management; citizen expectations of law enforcement as a result of media influence; social controls and value teaching via media; and media affects on police enforcement /attitudes).

From a purely selfish standpoint, I would undertake study in this program for personal satisfaction. However, this program is entirely expensive ( between 60k-80k depending on time to completion) and a return on investment must be considered.

I would love to hear from any current students in this program or those currently considering this option.
