Hi,everyone, first of all i would like to all the members of this forum, who have helped me a lot .I ve come again with an interesting question.Wht do u ppl think which one s a better degree to gain,MBA or Exec MBA.Also which one ll be preffered by the most of the employers while reviewing one s resume. Some ppl r of the opinion tht Exec MBA is not given weightage by some of the employers n some might not consider it as an academic qualification.I might be eligible for Exec MBA prog. as I ve got work experience of many years n currently working as a snior manager.Wht u guys ll suggest ,for which one I shd go for.All positive n informative suggestions ll be welcomed.

My last employer, a Fortune 100 company, did not recognise EBMAs for tuition reimbusement. I got the impression that the company did not think much of the EMBA. The company did send designated people to attend MITs MBA program.

My experience generally (in the USA) is that empoyers will hire a person who can do the job, who is reliable, ethical, and pass background checks. The degree is often just a check box. At my several previous employers I worked alongside technical and financial associates who either did not have any degree or had an associates degree. Most companies have in-house training/certification courses pertaining to an employees job or the company product line.
