Tremendously grateful to find this forum.
Due to recent life event (wife's medical condition) I'll have to return to the full time work force as the only bread winner after seven years as a stay at home dad. I've been reading and reading on this forum trying to absorb all the info I can. Since I have a small hobby business providing IT support for individuals and churches it seems to be logical to try to pursue a career in an IT sales, management or administration field. (Prior career was regional sales for a manufacturing company). Still not exactly sure where someone over 40 entering this field could land but I'll save that for another topic.

I just completed an A.S (Liberal Studies) from a local R.A community college and need to complete a B.S. as fast as possible.

Looking into a BSIT from Columbia Southern seemed to be a viable route (cost, time, etc). But when I spoke to the adviser on the phone she informed me that they would only accept 75% of the credit from my A.S. degree (approx 45 hrs). Are there any recommendations for schools that will accept more (all) of my A.S degree for credit and still offer a fast path to completion? Sorry for the noob question. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you decide to go with Thomas Edison State College, you can amass quite a few credits by taking the free FEMA courses. A search for "FEMA" on this site will reveal a wealth of info on this.

I am a student with Columbia Southern; maybe there was a mis-communication....

CSU accepts 75% (45sh)of credits for transfer into their A.S., but you have an associates and transferring into a BSIT....as long as the curriculum matches they should accept up to 75% of the BSIT requirement (90sh).

    Transfer Credit

CSU allows maximum transfer credit for your prior academic credits, training, and relevant professional licenses and certifications. Up to 75 percent of undergraduate courses and 50 percent of graduate courses can be transferred into your degree program. Students are allowed to transfer in 15 percent of coursework into the DBA program.

one of the reasons I chose CSU was for their flexibility to accept maximum transfer credit.....

    Good Luck!!!
