    "NCU Parking
Parking may occasionally be a problem for NCU students—particularly for those Learners who live in urban areas with alternating opposite-side parking. But not to worry: Visit our NCU Gift Shop and pick up your own Northcentral University Virtual Parking Permit. They’re just 95¢—available in magnetic or decal varieties—and honored at NCU campuses worldwide."

I found this is hallarious! :) Are they going to have some sort of Virtual Sports? Like Football, Baseball, Basketball by using xBox 360?

I have my virtual parking permit, I can park anywhere I want as long is in the virtual world. I am wondering if that would be an issue with the real world thought? We have a virtual Football team with cheerleaders etc...but I have not been able to participate on these events.

    On a slightly related topic...

I have always been a vocal and determined advocate for eliminating any reference to the term "virtual" as it relates to online learning/education. I have been a student/learner with two fully online universities and a full and part time faculty and administrator for a few as well.

There is nothing virtual about any online university I have been associated with, and certainly nothing even remotely like virtual learning.

    • Real faculty
    • Real administrators
    • Real students
    • Real curriculum
    • Real assessments
    • Real challenges
    • Real learning
    • Real late nights
    • Real and measurable outcomes
    • Even real bricks and mortar where the hundreds of real academic governance and learner support staff work
    • Virtually nothing at all that resembles "virtual learning"

Virtual reality is a thing that is not real and only resembles the real thing. Online education and online universities are as real as real gets.

Thanks for that clarification. For a moment, thought I was in the matrix.
