What is the most affordable place to take upper level Writing/English/Literature classes that will transfer to the Big 3? Thanks.

I would also look at Ohio State or University of Ohio (don't remember which one) but they offer the option to "test out" of courses. I will look for the link.

LSU is going to be the least expensive upper division if I am not mistaken. http://is.lsu.edu/courselist.asp?cat=English&nid=102&pg=

Do the Big 3 take DETC credits?

Not TESC. Someone here (?) got EC to accept credit, but had to petition.

If you're interested in Excelsior, you could take the GRE Subject Test in Literature in English. If you get a score in the 80th percentile or better, you get all 30 hours needed for the major in Literature in English.

Only Excelsior and only then through an appeals process. If the DETC courses are also ACE reviewed, as is the case with most Penn Foster courses, they will transfer easily.
