    I think someone maybe pulled a fast one past the editors of the 11/23/01 Chronicle of Higher Ed. In the employment section on p. C29 there is a Distance Education ad looking for mentors and directs people to the site: http://www.onlinehumanities.com

    I did not see anything on the site that directly discusses mentors and if you click on the link for degrees that can be earned you will get direced to several unaccredited programs including American Coastline University.

    There certainly is an interesting mix of schools advertised. I'm wondering if the few legit schools (Empire State, UNISA) were tossed in there w/o their knowledge to lend an image of credibility to Canyon, American Coastline, and the rest.

    There is an e-mail address on the homepage where people can send their CV if they would like to become mentors.

    I didn't see it early on so I wonder if it is a relatively recent addition.
