I think that it would be great if AJU would add the following programs to thier arsenal of degree programs; 1. Social service 2. Human resource 3. Paralegal studies and 4. Homeland security. what would you like to see added? Not sure if this is something that they would consider in the future? But i tell you that a lot of people would enroll if they offered a variety of degree courses.
AJU Future Graduate Certificates Cantaafforedit. Great suggestion, I hope that AJU starts to offer graduate level certificates for their current MBA, MPA and MCJ program concentrations. Graduate certificates would be a great alternative for the potential student seeking a graduate certificate verses a first or second Masters degree. Regards,
Doctor of Science and Doctor of Arts Both are allowed by DETC and it would be nice if they included a professional studies/practice option.
I know i wish they would maybe if the suggestions and keep coming and with the growth of thier online status it will.
From a hypothetical employment standpoint, what would somebody do with a D.A. or Ed.D. in Psychology from a DETC institution?
These degrees would be more for personal enrichment (at least in my case). However, I'm sure these degrees would be fine to help boost one's resume to gain employment (in a non-psychologist role, of course). Remember, many (but not all) employers are not as hung up (or even aware of) on the DETC/RA debate as we are on this and similiar forums. Tom
That's true employers really don't care, it's the schools and those who are using credit transfers that care. As long as you earned it employers really don't give a f*ck.
My vote for a new AJU program would be journalism or public relations concentrations within their BA in Communications degree program. Graduate degrees in Marketing, Corporate Communications or Organizational Communications would also be great. AJU's blog does make mention of the fact that they have no intention of seeking RA because they want to expand the number of programs they offer, and (they say) they wouldn't be able to expand their program offerings while being in candidacy status with SACS...a process which takes about four years. I'd be interested in knowing which programs they do plan to add. I have to say, AJU is very responsive to student questions. Their president has personally emailed me in the past to make me aware of various developments they are considering at AJU to make studying with them even more affordable. For customer service, AJU is first rate.
I so agree, and Tammy is one of the nicest i've met , so is Jarrod. These are the kind of staff that every school should have and that's why i choose to enroll there because if i get in a jam i know that i would get prompt responsive help and that says a lot.
