The following link announces the appointment of Dr. Phyl Zylla to the principalship of Associated Canadian Theological Seminaries in British Columbia. As the article mentions, Dr. Zylla completed his DTh in Practical Theology through UNISA within the last couple of years. In my research, I've found a multitude of UNISA doctoral graduates (and a handful of current doctoral candidates) in theological disciplines to be holding (although some are now retired) academic posts in colleges, universities, and seminaries throughout North America. These include institutions possessing RA accreditation, ATS accreditted seminaries, and TRACS accreditted colleges and seminaries. In light of his appointment to the principalship of ACTS, Dr. Zylla ranks among the more prominent of these UNISA graduates.

In addition, my research has helped me to learn of UNISA DTh graduates holding faculty positions at institutions in various countries of Europe and Asia, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

There is little question that UNISA has distinguished itself as a quality provider of theological education, and that it is being afforded widespread respect and acceptance within the global, brick-and-mortar theological community.

It is also interesting to note that these graduates of UNISA cut across confessional lines. I have found UNISA grads teaching in institutions that are confessionally Baptist, Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, Charismatic, Pentecostal, non-denominational and inter-denominational, liberal, conservative, etc. This suggests truly broad acceptance of UNISA's degrees.
