If I remember correctly, I once read, maybe in this forum, maybe somewhere else, about an Associate of Science (or who knows, maybe Arts) degree in Mathematics. I think it was from a community college. I've been searching all over the forums, but so far, I have been unable to find it. Anyone knows what I'm talking about? Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

Still looking at studying the subject which doesn't interest you, eh?

If I remember correctly, the degree was very specific regarding the fact that it was in Math, and it certainly wasn't from RIT. Still, I will check it out, might be just what I'm looking for. Thanks for the link. :)

Yep, and still trying to find a loophole. :D

Right here in my own back yard, Owens Community College www.owens.edu in Toledo, Ohio, through its e-Owens division, offers the Associate of Arts in Mathematics.

None of these look like the one I remember. Who knows, maybe I imagined it? Owens looks like a good choice, even though it doesn't feature some of the classes I want. I like St. Mary of the Woods too, but I have not been able to find the associate's in Mathematics (they do have a bachelors). Is there a link? Thanks in advance. :)

I'll see if I can find my Barron's Guide to Distance Learning and Peterson's Guide to Distance Learning Programs and get back to you.

Peterson's Guide to Distance Learning Programs reports the existence of diostance learning associate's degrees in mathematics at Ohio University www.ohiou.edu and TESC.

Thanks! :) I like TESC's. It is exactly what I'm looking for. But do they offer the courses themselves, or do you need to take them with another university?

I know I ask a lot of questions, so once again, thank you all for your answers. :D

Thomas Edison State College www.tesc.edu does offer their own courses, most of which are also offered as challenge exams. You can also have unlimited transfer credits AP, CLEP, DANTES, Excelsior College Exams, GREs, etc., applied to your degree. As a matter of fact, let me give you the school's official link on how to get credit: www.tesc.edu/671.php .

Not bad. I would have never considered TESC, but their selection of courses and testing options is quite good. Thanks for the all the help, Ted, know that it is truly appreciated. :)
