I know with TESC, you pay full tuition for those credits- so your easily looking at spending $500 bucks (and a lot of effort) to prove a lousy 3 credits, and that's not even a guarantee that they will accept your portfolio. Plus, you have to register, which starts at $2000.
Credit can be earned much faster and much more cheaply through testing out (CLEP and DSST) and also through independent study courses like FEMA.

No, regionally accredited (or even nationally accredited) life experience degrees do not exists. No legitimate entity will award degrees based on claims of experience.

Having said that, many legitimate colleges and universities will award credit based on the KNOWLEDGE that you gain from life experience. There are several methods for assessment of prior learning, including tests (e.g. CLEP, DANTES, Excelsior, subject GRE), portfolio, credit for military/corporate training, and applied projects.

Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu) is a regionally accredited university that awards degrees based on competency assessments, rather than seat time. You might wish to check it out.

Entire degrees by life experience? That ought to send up big red warning flags!
