Hi, I could find this on the university's website. What is the cost of getting an Athabasca degree if I already have the 90 credits required by the program? Are there cheaper alternatives for a full, no-residency transfer? Thanks!
The only specific fee is an application fee of CAD80.00. There must be a graduation fee to review the credit hours earned against the requirements of the degree, assuming the BGS here. Here is some information about the graduation application process.
There may be a residency requirement - I could not find specific details. http://www.athabascau.ca/calendar/page06_10.html
The BGS has no academic residency requirement but all other undergraduate degrees do have an academic residency with Athabasca University.
Ooops - I found that there is no residency required for the 90 unit degree. I also found that Athabasca has a DL Ed.D. in distant education. http://cde.athabascau.ca/programs/doctoral/index.php
As of February 2007, it was $265 ($65 application fee, $200 credit evaluation fee). http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=26339&highlight=bgs+%24200 Good luck! Tom
