    Thanks.

Had a look for this myself and didn't find anywhere - plenty of Master's, but no Doctorates sorry, unless someone else has something...

In TESOL itself, no. But there are many names for that field. You could earn one in applied linguistics, linguistics, English, education, and so on. In Bears' Guide to the Best Education Degrees by Distance Learning we found some programs. In Applied Linguistics, there are programs at Macquarie University ("Doctor of Applied Linguistics"), Edith Cowan University, University of Kent at Canterbury, and so on. In Teaching English, there was Manchester University, Open University, and University of Melbourne, as well as others.

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the acronym. Does it have to do with teaching English as a second language? If so, the University of Exeter offers a Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Their World Wide Web site is located at http://www.ex.ac.uk/education/subjects/tefl.htm.

    Cheers,

University of Leicester in UK offers the EdD with specialization in TESOL. Leicester's School of Education is a top education school with 24/24 Quality Assurance ranking by the UK authority. Their Education School is ranked top 10 in UK.
