I tried to enroll in the program today. The two primary core classes are not offered. I cant find anyway of enrolling. The email contact is not a valid link, the phone number has a message saying "this number is no longer active and voice mail will not be checked." Any info on how to get started?

my guess is the stanford certificate in (advanced) project managment.
they have redesigned the site and some courses are somewhat active but not filled with working courses. but mailing them might help, they are quite responsive. just in case it is really this stanford thing, one (working) mail is: [email protected]

Maybe, since this is an advanced course, the entry level "project" is to figure out how to enroll. ;)

I was asked by a member to let them know how this program plays out. They where debating taking it in the future when it in their long term plan. I thought I would continue this thread instead of sending a message directly to that member.

    To date:

I sent an email to the email provided by Woho. ([email protected]). After a message or two describing my problems to Elena Chardon_Pietri (Associate Director, Academic Programs
Stanford Center for Professional Development) my message was forwarded to Leah Mattei, APM Student Services Coordinator. I never received contact from Leah on this message or the original email I sent.

BTW - Elena emailed me back the same day. Major props!

A few days passed and I continued to monitor both my email and the SCPM website. I never received contact from Elena but the three required courses showed up at http://apm.stanford.edu/. I enrolled in Converting Strategy Into Action. The program requires you to fill out an application with a number of questions. Note: More then once the site would give me connection errors. It has happened both at Work on an ATM and at home on a DSL so I doubt the connection errors generated from my side. I finished the application and at that point did not finish enrolling for the course.

The enrollment process has a nice navigation sidebar that indicates which steps you have completed. When you are done with a section a green check mark shows up. When you are done with the application portion you are then sent to a page that states that the application will be reviewed by Stanford staff and to check online for the status. The link that is provided for checking the application status is a generic "we hope you enjoy our new website, this page is under construction". Thus, no method for checking the application status.

So, what to do? I waited another day and logged into the site again. The application page is still "under construction". I thought I would try enrolling in the class again to see if the enrollment navigation screen indicated that my application was sent in and/or accepted. The enrollment process now skips past the navigation screen and goes directly to the "how do you wish to pay for class" screen. No where is their any option for finding out the application status. I waited.

So today, still no contact from Stanford and I decided to pay for the course and see how it goes. I am "sort of" enrolled in Converting Strategy Into Action and I am curious how this plays out.

Another note: when you submit your payment a field is available for "how is our website" type of comments. The field is limited to very few chr's and the best I could squeeze into it was "navigation & communication terrible". It would be nice if they contacted me to ask why but my current experience doesn't leave me holding my breath.

With all the above I am excited about getting started with the program still and I hope good things will come from it.

The second link you provided is the one with the email link that does not work and the phone number that had the recording "dont call us and dont leave a message" (well in a nicer fashion but thats the basic message it gives). I have not found any method of buying the entire package for $2600. Maybe my new friend Elena can provide further information.
