FCCJ in Florida has a lot of classes that are staggered throughout the semester, and it's one of the easier colleges to navigate (in our limited experience). For the fall semester they have classes that started in August, and classes that are starting the end of Sept. and in Oct. Just thought it might be a viable option, so I've included the link. https://artemis.fccj.edu/student/toronto/csSearch.aspx?t=20091&ct=C
Nice post. Maybe some others could pile on. It's great for those starting out, trying to pick up some courses. http://www.umassonline.net/Home.html
I took one class at FCCJ when I lived in Jax. My wife graduated from there but took the traditional route and went to school for 2 years. FCCJ is a great school with great staff. I can honestly say I know that because my wife went to school on a talent grant, was SGA President, and worked in the English lab. All of this equaled free school for her!
I was a little hesitant to post and didn't want anyone to think I was a troll. The college is offering bachelors degrees. It's just a shame that they're not considered a 4 year college by TESC. Next semester all of my son's classes will have to be from another college, but he'll pick up the remaining credits he needs at FCCJ. Staggering the start dates makes it much easier to take a heavier load. You can go through and knock out the discussion posts before your next classes start. Some professors will post the syllabus early or open up the material online even though the class hasn't officially started. They also specify whether testing is done online or if you need a proctor as well as a quick turn around on answering questions. One of the advisors waived a requirement once they looked at his unofficial transcript, so he could register before the class filled up. (One of his official ones hadn't made it there yet.)
