I am a student in the DBA program at Argosy Atlanta Campus, I can not speak on the Psy.D as that is a totally differnt beast from what I am doing. Argosy is expensive, as are other compariable universities, you will have to decide yourself on that one. Of course the learning experience is different for each person and all I can say is, determine you goals and stick with them. If a terminal degree will help your career financially, then go for it. GOOD LUCK. Simper Fi 0331 - Machine Gunner 3/2 Lima Co. Wpns Plt.
I am also an Argosy student at the Phoenix campus but moved recently and finishing my last 3 classes in Chicago. I agree with Dinman that the tuition is high but I have had nothing but quality faculty, I am sure that not everyone has my experience but its mine regardless. The course structure is organized in a way that helps foster the students development of the dissertation. By the time I am done with the courses I will only need to polish my Proposal prior to defending it then off to research I go.
I've never heard of Baker College until I saw your signature. They have some online programs too. It also looks like they have a traditional DBA program that isn't online. We learn something new everyday!
I graduated from Argosy University (Orange County campus) with a DBA in Management. It was actually University of Sarasota Orange County campus when I started the process. My Argosy DBA has served me well and helped me get a full-time position in an MBA program at an AACSB accredited school. Argosy is much stronger in psychology than in business administration, with some campuses being APA accredited. However Argosy is a candidate for ACBSP accreditation.
