Proposing the first eSchool Implementation Plan

In November 2007 while researching Libyan education system development, I proposed a full thesis, and implementation plan for an ELECTRONIC SCHOOL in the Libyan ministry of Education in Benghazi.

What is eSchool, from the term, we all know what is it, but it was not a teaching tool, the main purpose of this systems was the management of materialistic schools. (Programming language will not be discussed in this post), and the following describes the structure of eSchool.

The system is divided into 5 control panels that share the system applications:

1. Student CP:
a. Class> Subject> Lesson> Homework (browse) (administered by Class Teacher CP).
b. Dates and Deadlines> Terms and Exams (browse).
c. Links to: vSchool - Activities (browse).


2. Parent CP:
a. Student performance report (browse).
b. Student attendance report (browse).
c. Links to: Parents Discussion Forum - Dates and Deadlines - Activities (browse).


3. Class Teacher CP:
a. Class: Subjects> Lessons> Homework (CP).
b. Dates and Deadlines (CP).
c. Student Performance Report (CP).
d. Links to: vSchool - Parents Discussion Forum - Admin Discussion Forum - School Dates and Deadlines - Activities (browse).


4. Social Worker CP:
a. Student Social and Psychiatric Reports (CP).
b. Student Attendance Report (CP).
c. Parents Discussion Forum (CP).
d. Links to: vSchool - Admin Discussion Forum - School Dates and Deadlines (browse).
e. Activities (along with sports and activities teacher) (CP).


5. Super Admin CP:
a. Admin Discussion Forum (CP).
b. School Dates and Deadlines (CP).
c. Ability to browse all pages, and participate in all discussion forums.


(the plan is undergoing development due to requests to implement through a web development compatible programming language)

You appear to be describing a standard Learning Management System (LMS). How does your proposal differ from and/or improve on existing e-learning platform such as Blackboard, eCollege, Moodle, etc.?
