Have not heard much lately about them and it seems at least in here not to be a popular school, they have expanded their programs at least at the master's
level. Are they missing something or it is that name? Or the expensive tuition?

Don't know that much about them, except that I believe they were the first 100% online university to gain RA.

It is a shame they did not capitalized and used this to their advantage, which other schools that came after them did.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Jones International University. I don't think I have ever come across anybody who has actually studied with JIU. At one time, I considered studying with JIU but cost was a major factor in not doing so. They have some interesting degree programs. If anyone has experience with JIU I would be interested in hearing about their experiences.

BTW, JIU looks like an option for those with nationally accredited bachelor degrees:

Submit an official transcript that documents an earned bachelor's degree (or highest degree earned) and a minimum GPA of 2.5 from a college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or its international equivalent.)

If memory serves me right, Dr. Bear indicated once that the school name was a factor in student attending certain colleges (maybe other old timers would care to elaborate or clarify on this). I did consider them at first but I was looking for a MBA with a specializations of my interest(accounting) and very few schools (including JIU) did not have them back then, in online format. Now JIU has catch up with the times.
