Embry-Riddle recently announced two new programs. The first is a limited residency Ph.D. in Aviation. The second is a Master of Science in Space Education that is entirely DL and offered as a partnership with Nova Southeastern.
That can be a cool program a Ph.D in Aviation, the only problem I see, as the economy flows down, they may not be an aviation industry as we know it, as the airlines keep cutting cost and charging more and more to travel by air. Very high cost: Tuition and Fees 2009 Tuition cost $980 per credit hour Books (est.) $300 per 3-credit course Residency $1200 per residency in addition to tuition Single accommodations on campus including 2 meals (for annual residency requirement) $50 per day for the Daytona Beach Residency Accommodations off-campus hotel rate without meals (walking distance) $90 per day plus tax for the Daytona Beach Residency Meals only on-campus $30 per day
The tuition is expensive....it is not bad if you can be the FAA director after obtaining the Ph.D from ERAU.
