I have only posted here a couple times and none since late May when my laptop broke.

I finished my classes in April and my degree conferal date was June 30th but I just received my college diploma from American Military University. I completed a BA in Homeland Security with a concentration in Terrorism Studies. I really must say the diploma looks really impressive, it is huge, and I can't stop looking at it.

I am not done though as I am continuing with a MBA through AMU and I start my first course, only one I am paying as I go and have money, on September 1st. I am also applying at Jacksonville State University to obtain a Masters in Emergency Management.

Thank you everyone you may never know but some here have been a huge help.

    Congratulations!

Did you succeed in re-obtaining a security clearance? This will do much to advance your career.

Hello, there, neighbor! Congratulations on finishing your bachelor's! Since you've already announced that you're going to be starting your MBA, it looks like I don't get to haze you about whether you've thought about graduate school!

Yes I am real happy with AMU. A MBA is just something I am really interested in obtaining for my future. I really like AMU but I love the Emergency Management program at Jacksonville State plus I figure if future employers want to question my degree and the degree I am working towards at AMU since it is a online only college I will have JSU to point to as that would mean I applied and was accepted, plus the price is definitely right at JSU.

No luck on the security clearance but I have a referal open if I want it to apply to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The referal would come from a graduate and current student of AMU. Before obtaining my degree I was finally able to otain a decent job, though it only requires a HS diploma. It is fulltime with benefits and I do make enough to have my own place and it is not retail, food service, or factory work. The area Ted and I live is pretty bad for workers so I am very happy and thankful for the job so I wont be leaving just yet.

Thank you for the replies and I will keep my nose to the grindstone with my education and job, though I like my job enough sometimes it doesn't even feel like I was working. I work in the MR/DD field at Flat Rock Care Center, I only mention name because I am sure Ted knows the place, and I like it plus they actually treat the employees pretty well.

Ted always wondered do you live in PC?

Congratulations. Look at that diploma as often as you like. You worked hard for it.
