I've pondered posting this information as I've read some of the discussion on regionally accredited vs nonregionally accredited degrees. Let me share this brief experience.

I purchased Dr. Bear's Book a few years ago as I was considering returning to graduate school. I had in fact done graduate work, but had dropped out. I compared a number of the schools and finally settled on Southwest University in LA.

Well, the program was interesting, albeit not particularly challenging. But my doing an unaccredited program I had limited professional options. I believe a person should keep all options open. It was also a bit disconcerting when I learned that in the State of Florida, I could never even mention that MBA in a resume. Then I noticed Southwest U listed on a website for the State of Oregon. It would appear that a regionally accredited program offers the best in terms of options.

Fortunately, I returned to graduate school another time (this time by traditional means) and pursued an MPA.

    Something to think about.
