This course might work from St. Petersburg College (SPC) in Florida with Professor Rutledge:

He's posted the first two units online at the above website. There's no midterm or final--just a lot of assignments and projects. I haven't taken the course yet, but probably will once I get my eval back from TESC, and they say I need a math course. :(

My son also got accepted into TESC even though he doesn't meet their age requirements. I think it will be easier for him to go through them vs. EC due to the upper/lower division course requirements for a bachelors. With EC he needs 30 credits of upper division classes.

For people who struggle with mathematical concepts learning to play chess has been shown to improve analytical and problem-solving skills. The University of Texas offers an online certificate (2 3-credit hour courses and either the undergraduate or graduate level) in Chess and Education. Hey, learn to play the game of kings while earning college credit!

The courses are listed with an education (ED) prefix so they would likely fall under education or free electives depending on your degree programme. Too bad they do not cross-list as MATH courses.
