Is it because I'm nuts?

    Nope.

Is it because I'm a night owl?

    True, but nope.

Is it because I'm bored?

    Nope.

It's because I just finished my last TESC exam and I'm
    DONE!!!

My exam opened at midnight, and so I just finished. Pass or fail, I already earned enough points to pass the course. I only needed to score a 69 on the exam to earn an A! Was a nice and easy exam, so I am feeling pretty good. That's it then.

    I'm a graduate :D

Now you can join the alumni association!

...(we do have an alumni association right?)

And you can also look forward to a nice diploma in a leather bound cover

    Congrats Jennifer!!

Time to celebrate (might be a good time to fit in a vacation between degrees!). ;)

P.S. You know I was just thinking earlier about your upcoming studies with WNMU. I think you'll be in good shape with concentrations in Ed. Tech and English. You could certainly land some online adjunct work teaching English 101/102. Think of how many DL schools offer Eng 101/102?!

Congrats! Which degree did you complete? I completed the last of my courses for TESC about 8 weeks ago, applied for graduation, but am still waiting for them to do their final review, update my transcript, and confirm graduation.

    Congrats, Jennifer!

I earned my BA the "old fashioned way". I don't think I would've been disciplined enough to complete an undergraduate degree via distance. That says something of your character. Now keep on truckin' with that MA. I've taken a few Instructional Technology courses along the way. I'm sure you'll enjoy them!

Congrats! Keep me posted on your impressions of WNMU, I may be following behind you in Spring 09 taking courses for a second master's.

That is similar to what I went through with Excelsior. I took my last exam in April, but did not officially graduate until this last Friday the 18th. I just got my diploma in the mail today, what a great feeling!

Congratulations! Take a nice break before starting grad school. I will have a bowl of German Chocolate Cake ice cream for you tonight after the kids go to bed.

    THANKS everyone!

About 4 hours after I took my exam we were hit with a storm that knocked out our power for 5 days! So, I'm sorry for my tardy "thank you" reply!

By the way, my husband bought me the most beautiful earrings as a graduation gift :) With 4 kids, a get-a-way isn't in the cards, but we did all manage 2 nights at an indoor waterpark resort last weekend!

Pug- my diploma won't arrive until after graduation in September. I had to file for graduation by July 1st, but my class ended on the 21st. Technically, I only made the cut off since my last class was "in house" and not a transfer or CLEP. I hear that causes a lot of the delay.

Tom- my CC offers about 200+ sections of English comp 101 and almost as many 102 each year. I'll put my name in the pool once I finish.

Kizmet, Bamafan, Matt, et al. There is a possibility with my official graduation date in September, that WNMU won't let me in on this semester. (I thought I found a loop hole...but maybe not) I am trying to work things out to register as an undergrad, but we shall see. If I have an entire semester off, I am a bit worried that I might loose my momentum! You guys will have to keep kickin' my butt.

Again, thanks everyone. This board has really been an inspiration for me.

Congratulations! I wonder if TESC would write you a letter indicating that you have passed all your courses and if that would suffice to start at WNMU?

Pending official acceptance into the graduate program, Western New Mexico University www.wnmu.edu/VirtualCampus/ToApply.html will allow you to take up to 6 hours on special student status.

That was my hope too, no chance. They won't put anything in writing except an official transcript until the board of trustees meeting where they confer degrees (next one in September).
